Silence can be peace for some players and awkwardness for others. It can also be a topic nobody raises. A CHI 2026 study of couples describes “privacy silence”: partners avoid talking about privacy because raising it feels like distrust (CHI 2026).
The other side is a Tree. In a forum thread about best childhood memories, climbing trees comes up again and again (Mumsnet). Trees are also planted to mark a birth or a death.
Draw the card and choose a side: Silence or Tree. Roll the die. Look at the word from that side. A pause before answering is part of the game.
